Physicians
Konrad W. Bakker, M.D., is a graduate of the University of Amsterdam School of Medicine, The Netherlands (M.D., 1981). He performed rotating internships at the University of Leiden Medical Center, The Netherlands, during 1981 to 1982, and was a visiting fellow at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, during 1983 to 1984. His neurology residency was at the Georgetown University Medical Center during 1984 to 1987. He is board certified in neurology with added qualifications in neurophysiology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, in electromyography by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, in sleep disorders medicine by the American Board of Sleep Medicine, and in electroencephalography (EEG) by the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology. Dr. Bakker is the director of the Greater Washington Hospitals Sleep Disorders Centers. He is a staff member of Frederick Memorial Hospital, Loudoun Hospital Center, and Shady Grove Adventist Hospital. He is a clinical instructor at Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Bakker is an active member of the American Sleep Disorders Association, the American Academy of Neurology, and the American Society of Neuroimaging.
Dr Mostofi’s areas of special interest include epilepsy management, stroke, Parkinson’s and neurodiagnostic medicine, including EMG/NCV, EEG, and epilepsy monitoring. Dr. Mostofi has been practicing medicine since 2002 and completed his neurology specialty training at Temple University in Philadelphia. He furthered his training at Georgetown University by completing a neurophysiology fellowship.
Sarah obtained her B.A. in Bio-Chemistry from McDaniel College. She is a graduate of the Physician Assistant Program at the Jefferson College of Health Sciences in Roanoke, VA. Sarah is licensed through the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants and the Maryland Board of Physicians. She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Sarah has worked as a physician assistant in neurology since 2003. She has developed a special interest in headache treatment, multiple sclerosis, and support for caregivers of patients with illnesses such as Alzheimer's disease. |
